Nauvoo the Beautiful and Carthage

Sister Armstrong and I had a chance to spend a couple of hours in Nauvoo while were in Illinois visiting our son and his family. Two hours is not enough to even begin to absorb all of the history there. The temple, rebuilt in 2002, is magnificent.It is overwhelming to consider what the early saints accomplished in a mosquito-infested swamp with no machines and only a few hand-held tools.
