Alma 32:13
And now, because ye are compelled to be humble blessed are ye; for a man sometimes, if he is compelled to be humble, seeketh repentance; and now surely, whosoever repenteth shall find mercy; and he that findeth mercy and endureth to the end the same shall be saved.
Mercy is a sure promise from the Lord. When we repent, we find mercy. We do not find retribution or reviling or rebuke. The rebuke comes before repentance as a way to move us towards repentance. Once we repent, we find only mercy and forgiveness. Mercy is, then, the doorway to eternal life, which is life with God.
