Second Nephi 7:7

For the Lord God will help me, therefore shall I not be confounded. Therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Knowing of all that He will suffer, the Messiah is nevertheless determined to do what needs to be done to bring about our redemption. He trusts the Father will help him. He will not be thwarted in the mission for which He will be born. He will not fail. That is His promise to ancient Israel. And having accomplished all that He was called to do, His promise to us in our day is that He will not fail us either.
