Second Nephi 10:24

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, reconcile yourselves to the will of God, and not to the will of the devil and the flesh; and remember, after ye are reconciled unto God, that it is only in and through the grace of God that ye are saved.

To reconcile is to restore friendly relations between two parties. The natural man within each of us is an enemy to God. We reconcile with God when we accept his grace to enable us to overcome the natural man. Having established that personal agency is essential, our greatest gift to God and our greatest victory is to relinquish that agency to God's will. When we choose God and his will over our own, we have fulfilled the purpose of our agency. We have filled the measure of our creation. And in the end God returns our agency to us, enhanced and empowered to make choices we never thought would be within our sphere of opportunities.
