And I say unto you again that he cannot save them in their sins; for I cannot deny his word, and he hath said that no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven; therefore, how can ye be saved, except ye inherit the kingdom of heaven? Therefore, ye cannot be saved in your sins.
Christ saves us from our sins, not in our sins. He will take our sins from us but only if we are willing to give them up. The reason most of us are not fully redeemed, reborn and sanctified in this life is that we refuse to give up every sin. We have a few we just cannot bear to part with. It may take a long time for us to give up every pleasant little sin. But we start where we are, and Christ will help us along the way.
